Basketball Game Preview: Snow Canyon Warriors vs. Springville Red Devils

The Snow Canyon Warriors will take on the Springville Red Devils at 8:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Snow Canyon is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Pine View last Tuesday. The Warriors walked away with a 50-39 victory over the Panthers. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won nine in a row.

Snow Canyon's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Braylee Chesley led the charge by going 8-for-17 to rack up 20 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Falynn Randall, who shot 44% from the field on her way to 17 points and six assists.

Meanwhile, Springville beat Clearfield 39-30 on Tuesday.

Springville now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Snow Canyon, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Everything went Snow Canyon's way against Springville when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as Snow Canyon made off with a 69-44 win. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Red Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
