The Bellbrook Golden Eagles will challenge the St. Ursula Academy Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Bellbrook 3.6, St. Ursula Academy 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Bellbrook took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Badin, sneaking past 7-5. The victory continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won three in a row.

Abigail Hebrank (2028) spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Taitum Savey (2025) was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Heidi Pummell (2027), who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Bellbrook hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Badin struck out nine times.
Meanwhile, St. Ursula Academy made easy work of Bishop Brossart on Thursday and carried off a 12-1 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on V Oberkorn, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of A Cosgray, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one double.
St. Ursula Academy pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Bellbrook, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Saturday. Bellbrook hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like St. Ursula Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down. Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
