Basketball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. The contest between them and the Independence Knights didn't end well, with the Centennial Titans falling 40-24. The matchup marked the Titans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Independence, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-12.

Centennial and Independence could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Centennial (ranked 259th) will meet Memorial (ranked 62nd) at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Independence will challenge Heritage at 7:15 p.m. on Friday down 383 places (406 vs. 23).
