Basketball Recap: Bishop Snyder Comes Up Short

Bishop Snyder's game on Saturday was all tied up 32-32 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 59-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Coweta Indians. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 234th in Florida, while the Indians are ranked 81st in Georgia).

East Coweta got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dylan Barbra out in front who posted eight points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave Barbra a new career-high in rebounds. Qwes Williams was another key player, putting up eight points and ten rebounds.

Bishop Snyder has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for East Coweta, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Snyder will welcome Bolles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Coweta, they will challenge Carrollton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Coweta is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.3 points per game this season.
