Volleyball Recap: King's Academy Takes a Loss

King's Academy saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell just short of the Cornerstone Christian Warriors by a score of 2-1. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mikayla Matuszko paced King's Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Matuszko got some help from Hunter Saltalamacchia and her nine assists.

King's Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Cornerstone Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, King's Academy and Cornerstone Christian will both be playing Osceola the next time they take the court. The Lions will head out to face the Kowboys at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 4:50 p.m.
