Tyler HEAT and East Texas Homeschool Sports are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2021, but not for long. Tyler HEAT will take on East Texas Homeschool Sports at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tyler HEAT will be strutting in after a win while East Texas Homeschool Sports will be coming in after a defeat.
East Texas Homeschool Sports will be up against a hot Tyler HEAT squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Tyler HEAT blew past Chapel Hill 3-0 on Tuesday.
One reason for the win was Tyler HEAT's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-13, 25-9.
Tyler HEAT can attribute much of their success to Gracie Tucker, who had 18 assists and three aces.
They weren't the only good server: Tyler HEAT was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in August of 2024.
Meanwhile, East Texas Homeschool Sports came up short against Longview Christian on Tuesday and fell 3-1. While the Chargers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Longview Christian 25-21 in the first set.
East Texas Homeschool Sports started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-13, 25-22, 25-17.
Tyler HEAT will need to focus on slowing down Katie Walton, one of several East Texas Homeschool Sports players who made an impact when they last played. She had eight aces, seven kills, and five digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Corbin, who had 11 kills, ten digs, and two blocks.
East Texas Homeschool Sports' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Tyler HEAT, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Tyler HEAT beat East Texas Homeschool Sports 2-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Will Tyler HEAT repeat their success, or does East Texas Homeschool Sports has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
