Plano East waltzed into their match on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Hebron Hawks. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 5-4 win the Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Jadyn Dawson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off eight hits. Dawson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Julia Wilson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Gina Martin, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Plano East's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-9. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hebron, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-7.

Plano East will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Hawks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
