Preview: Incarnate Word Academy Falcons vs. Bay Area Christian Broncos
The Incarnate Word Academy Falcons are on the road again on Thursday and play against the Bay Area Christian Broncos at 6:00 p.m. on December 14th. Bay Area Christian took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Incarnate Word Academy, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, Incarnate Word Academy didn't have too much trouble with Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart on the road as they won 38-23.
Lauren Gentry was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Margaret Duncan, who scored 8 points.
Meanwhile, Bay Area Christian's game on Saturday was all tied up 19-19 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 53-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Village.
Incarnate Word Academy's victory bumped their season record to 6-8 while Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart's loss dropped theirs to 1-8.
Incarnate Word Academy ended up a good deal behind Bay Area Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, losing 60-44. Can Incarnate Word Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
