Baseball Game Preview: Grand Terrace Titans vs. Summit SkyHawks

For the second straight game, Grand Terrace will face off against Summit. The Titans will welcome the SkyHawks at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Grand Terrace 3.6, Summit 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Grand Terrace made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Summit, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Titans fell just short of the SkyHawks by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Titans have suffered against the SkyHawks since March 14, 2019.

Grand Terrace saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vann Morris, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one double. Vasili Kazaltzes also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

The win was the 17th in a row for Summit, bringing their record up to 20-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Grand Terrace, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-10.
