Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Don Lugo). They were the clear victors by a 17-6 margin over the Chaffey Tigers on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Conquistadores, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Don Lugo got a massive performance out of Bryan Scott, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Scott also put up a triple, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ishmael Fox, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.

Don Lugo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Don Lugo is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Chaffey, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-14.
