Softball Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short

Riverside fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Aurora on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Greenmen by a score of 9-8. The Beavers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 19-4. As for Aurora, the victory (which was their 19th in a row) raised their record to 22-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside will square off against Mayfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aurora, they will face off against Austintown-Fitch at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Greenmen's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 11.6 runs per game this season.
