Baseball Recap: Pekin Comes Up Short

Pekin lost against Peoria Notre Dame back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Dragons fell just short of the Irish by a score of 3-2.

Garrett Frampton was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits.

At the plate, Brady Bolen was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Pekin's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Peoria Notre Dame, their record is now 5-3.

Looking ahead, Pekin will host East Moline United at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Peoria Notre Dame, they will head out on the road to challenge Bloomington at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Irish will need to watch out since the Purple Raiders have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
