Basketball Recap: Ansley/Litchfield Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Ansley/Litchfield came into Friday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 35-28 victory over the Twin Loup Wolves on Friday. For the Spartans, this counts as revenge for the 46-25 win the Wolves walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Ansley/Litchfield got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kerry M Ryan out in front who posted ten points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Kiera Bailey was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.

Ansley/Litchfield smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Twin Loup's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madison Glidden, who put up seven points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Gracey Rodocker, who earned four points and five rebounds.

Ansley/Litchfield's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8. As for Twin Loup, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Ansley/Litchfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-26 defeat against Shelton on the 17th. Twin Loup has also already played their next contest, a 47-25 loss against Pleasanton on the 11th.
