Volleyball Recap: Clever Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

There's no place like home for Clever, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Buffalo Bison on Tuesday. The Blue Jays have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bison, too.

While Clever might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Buffalo scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 23-25, 25-19, 27-25.

Clever's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Allie Dunn, who had 11 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Dunn has posted over her last eight contests. Anna Staiger was another key player, getting eight digs and three assists.

Clever was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Buffalo only served two.

Despite the loss, Buffalo still got an impressive performance from Natalie Burkle, who had 23 digs.

Clever's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-11-3. As for Buffalo, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-11-4.

Clever wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Hollister on the 9th. As for Buffalo, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Springfield Catholic on the 9th.
