Baseball Recap: Hillsboro Comes Up Short

Hillsboro and Eleva-Strum squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Hillsboro had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Hillsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Eleva-Strum, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Hillsboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eleva-Strum, they will take on Brookwood at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
