It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Kenton Ridge had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Taylor Yellowjackets. The victory was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won seven matches in a row.

Kenton Ridge had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-17, 25-16, 25-15.

JJ Davis paced Kenton Ridge's offense, picking up 24 kills. Davis got some help from Ivee Rastatter and her 31 assists. Addisyn Fourman controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Kenton Ridge's win bumped their record up to 21-4. As for Taylor, the defeat snapped their winning streak at seven matches and leaves them with a 22-3 record.

Looking ahead, Kenton Ridge will take on Bishop Fenwick at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Taylor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
