Beau Chene has gone a perfect 5-0 against Church Point recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Beau Chene Gators will face off against the Church Point Bears at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Beau Chene has six straight wins, Church Point has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Tuesday, Beau Chene needed a bit of extra time to put away Cecilia. They had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 10-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Gators have posted against the Bulldogs since February 23, 2017.

Kadie Daigrepont and Jailah Rideau did most of the damage at the plate: Daigrepont scored two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances, while Rideau scored two runs while going 3-for-5. Anna Bergeron also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Church Point came up short against Doyle on Saturday, falling 15-8.

Beau Chene pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Church Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-1.

Beau Chene was able to grind out a solid victory over Church Point in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 8-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for Beau Chene since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
