Basketball Recap: Grinnell Comes Up Short

Grinnell lost against Williamsburg back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Grinnell Tigers had to suffer through a 64-32 loss at the hands of the Williamsburg Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 215th, while the Raiders are ranked 21st).

Grinnell is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9. As for Williamsburg, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Grinnell will face off against South Tama County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Williamsburg, they will take on Vinton-Shellsburg at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Williamsburg is facing Vinton-Shellsburg at the right time seeing as Vinton-Shellsburg is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
