Soccer Game Preview: Veritas Christian Academy vs. King's Christian

The Veritas Christian Academy Lions will face off against the King's Christian Knights at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Veritas Christian Academy has given up an average of 4.2 goals per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Veritas Christian Academy is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Abundant Life Academy on Tuesday. The Lions and Abundant Life Academy finished up their match with a 5-5 draw. A fantastic three-goal performance from Timothy Hawkswell still wasn't enough to secure a win.

Meanwhile, King's Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-match winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of The Pilgrim Academy. King's Christian were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than four goals in the three matchups prior), but The Pilgrim Academy's defense proved too tough.

King's Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4-1. Veritas Christian Academy's draw makes their record 2-6-1 this season.

Veritas Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from King's Christian in their previous meeting back in September of 2017. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
