Volleyball Recap: Thornton Comes Up Short

Thornton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Kankakee Kays. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Kays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-9.

Thornton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Kankakee, they pushed their record up to 12-8 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Thornton is set to square off against their familiar foe Thornridge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kankakee will take on rival Bloom at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
