Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Everett

Everett entered their tilt with Lynnwood on Wednesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 57-48 victory over the Royals. Given the Seagulls' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Royals are ranked 264th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Everett was led to victory by Henry Selders and Noah Owens. Selders dropped a double-double with 28 points and ten rebounds, while Owens went 7-for-14 on his way to 18 points in addition to eight boards and six assists. With that strong performance, Selders is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. Another player making a difference was Michael Selders, who posted four points and 13 boards.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Everett was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They are 14-4 when they've passed the ball that well.

Everett's record is now 15-8. As for Lynnwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.

Everett will take on Snohomish at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lynnwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
