Softball Recap: Atlantic Coast Comes Up Short

Atlantic Coast entered their matchup against Baldwin on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Stingrays lost 9-2 to the Indians. The Stingrays were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Indians earlier this season, when they won 15-11.

Atlantic Coast saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stella Lynton, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Atlantic Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 18-3. As for Baldwin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Atlantic Coast and Baldwin should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. The Stingrays will take on Nease at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (29 vs. 201). Meanwhile, Baldwin (ranked 28th) will meet Oakleaf (ranked 141st) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
