Football Game Preview: Alpena Wildcats vs. Petoskey Northmen + How To Watch

Alpena is 1-9 against Petoskey since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Wildcats will head out to take on the Northmen at 7:00 p.m. Alpena has given up an average of 35.5 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Alpena is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 48-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cadillac on Friday. Even if the Wildcats couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Petoskey and Gaylord, and Gaylord kept the tradition alive. The Northmen fell 19-13 to the Blue Devils on Friday.

Petoskey's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Alpena, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Alpena was taken down by Petoskey 60-6 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wildcats were down 46-6.
