Basketball Recap: Maeser Prep Academy Comes Up Short

Maeser Prep Academy lost against American Heritage back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Maeser Prep Academy Lions took a blow against the American Heritage Patriots, falling 58-26. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Maeser Prep Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Autumn Dossey, who posted eight points along with nine rebounds and five steals. That's the most steals Dossey has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Klea Bokshi, who put up six points.

Maeser Prep Academy's record now sits at 5-12. As for American Heritage, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maeser Prep Academy has already played their next game (against American Leadership Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. American Heritage will take on Rowland Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. American Heritage is facing Rowland Hall at the right time seeing as Rowland Hall is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
