Volleyball Recap: Lewisville Takes a Loss

Lewisville lost against Ryan back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Farmers fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 2-1.

Jacobi Carrasco paced Lewisville's offense, picking up eight kills. Carrasco got some help from Maddi Fennell and her 14 assists.

Ryan got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Abigail Vasquez out in front who had 29 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Vasquez has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Preslie Shiflett, who had 13 digs.

Lewisville has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Ryan, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Lewisville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Mansfield Summit on the 22nd. As for Ryan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Midland Legacy on the 22nd.
