After a string of three wins, Dover-Sherborn's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Medfield Warriors by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-3 back in April.

Stephen Alphas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks.

Dover-Sherborn's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Medfield, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-8.

Looking ahead, Dover-Sherborn will be playing at home against Westwood at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolverines will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight. As for Medfield, they will challenge Millis at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
