Hixson came tearing into Thursday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Lookout Valley Yellowjackets a 21-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Hixson pushed their record up to 16-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Lookout Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-19.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hixson will take on Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lookout Valley, they will square off against Marion County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
