Volleyball Recap: Roswell Takes a Loss

Roswell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Artesia Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 2nd.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17, 25-17.

Artesia got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brooklynne Ivans out in front who had 16 digs. Those 16 digs gave Ivans a new career-high. Ashton Craft also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Roswell's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Artesia, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

Coming up, Roswell will square off against Gadsden at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Artesia, they will take on Ruidoso at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
