Softball Recap: Northwestern Comes Up Short

After flying high against South Newton on Saturday, Northwestern came back down to earth. The Tigers came up short against the Tri-County Cavaliers on Saturday, falling 13-6.

Northwestern saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Marcus, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Another was Morgan Crum, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Northwestern has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Tri-County, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1.

Coming up, Northwestern will venture away from home to take on Northfield at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Tri-County, they will welcome Carroll at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
