Red Bud won the last time they faced Sparta and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Red Bud Musketeers walked away with a 40-31 victory over the Sparta Bulldogs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Musketeers.

Red Bud found their leader in sophomore Talia Carter, who posted 12 points. Nora Rothlisberger also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Sparta lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Maddie Schulein, who scored nine points. Sierra Starr was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Red Bud's win bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Sparta, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-11.

Red Bud will challenge Marissa/Coulterville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sparta has already played their next contest (against Elverado/Zeigler-Royalton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
