Basketball Game Preview: Sand Rock Wildcats vs. West Morgan Rebels

The Sand Rock Wildcats will challenge the West Morgan Rebels at 11:45 a.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Sand Rock was handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Gaston last Friday. The Wildcats claimed a resounding 60-24 victory over the Bulldogs. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wildcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 157th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 455th).

Meanwhile, West Morgan came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.8 points), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Hornets, posting an 80-51 win. That's two games straight that the Rebels have won by exactly 29 points.

West Morgan's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Sand Rock, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.
