Football Game Preview: B-G-M Bears vs. Earlham Cardinals

The B-G-M Bears will head out to face off against the Earlham Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

On Friday, everything came up roses for B-G-M against Martensdale-St. Mary's as the team secured a 74-21 win. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 250th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Earlham, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They breezed past Colfax-Mingo to the tune of 55-6 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Cardinals needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

The victory made it two in a row for B-G-M and bumps their season record up to 4-1. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 37 points. As for Earlham, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

B-G-M ended up a good deal behind Earlham in their previous matchup back in November of 2019, losing 50-34. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
