Ben's Ford Christian and Newton County Academy squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Ben's Ford Christian had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Newton County Academy Generals on the road and fell 49-12. Cooper Savell was another key player, rushing for 158 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry.

The loss snapped Ben's Ford Christian's winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 9-2 record. As for Newton County Academy, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.
