Baseball Recap: Dunmore Comes Up Short

Dunmore was the 3-0 winner over Mid Valley when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Bucks took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans on Monday.

Dunmore saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jamie McMynne, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was McMynne's first of the season.

Dunmore's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Mid Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Dunmore will face off against rival Lakeland at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mid Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe Western Wayne at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
