While Nimitz didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-21), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They took down the Grand Prairie Gophers 34-19 on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Vikings, who have now won four contests in a row.

Nimitz's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Grand Prairie, they moved to 7-4 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nimitz will challenge Western Hills at 12:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Grand Prairie, they will face off against MacArthur at 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
