Volleyball Recap: Highland Prep West Takes a Loss

Highland Prep West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the North Valley Christian Academy Lions, falling 3-0. If the HORNETS were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Lions when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-10, 25-10.

Mackenzie Benso was a one-woman wrecking crew For North Valley Christian Academy. as she had ten digs and six aces. That's the most aces Benso has posted since back in September.

Highland Prep West's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for North Valley Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Highland Prep West is set to challenge their familiar foe St. John Paul II Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, North Valley Christian Academy will face off against rival Kingman Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
