Recap: Manasquan Warriors vs. Ocean Township Spartans
On Saturday, The Manasquan Warriors got themselves on the board against the Ocean Township Spartans, but the Ocean Township Spartans never followed suit. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 29-0 victory over the Spartans. The win made it back-to-back wins for Manasquan.
Manasquan got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Will Burns out in front who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 57 receiving yards. Frank Furfaro was another key contributor, rushing for 35 yards and a touchdown.
Manasquan now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Ocean Township, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 4-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manasquan will take on Somerville at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Jersey (Somerville is ranked 74th, while Manasquan is ranked 96th). As for Ocean Township, they will be playing at home against Manchester Township at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
