Softball Recap: Morton Ranch Comes Up Short

Morton Ranch extended their losing streak to 11 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 4-17. They came up short against the Paetow Panthers, falling 6-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-2 back in February.

As for Paetow, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.

For Paetow's part, the team relied heavily on DOMINIQUE GONZALES, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave GONZALES a new career-high.

Morton Ranch didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 19-8 defeat against Tompkins on the 2nd. As for Paetow, they have also already played their next game, an 8-3 loss against Cinco Ranch on the 2nd.
