Football Recap: Sidney Takes a Loss

Sidney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Stebbins Indians and fell 42-7. The Yellowjackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Sidney's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Stebbins, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Sidney and Stebbins could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Yellowjackets (ranked 433rd) will meet Butler (ranked 199th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Stebbins will challenge Tippecanoe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (332 vs. 38).
