Baseball Game Preview: Oak Ridge Trojans vs. Folsom Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Oak Ridge will face off against Folsom. The Trojans will host the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Oak Ridge fell victim to Folsom and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 2-0 to the Bulldogs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

For Folsom's part, not much got past David Engelken, who gave up just two hits to keep Oak Ridge off the board.

On the hitting side, Folsom's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Luke Williams, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most hits Williams has posted since back in March. Jack Blinn was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base.

Folsom moved to 3-10 with that win, which also ended their seven-game losing streak. As for Oak Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
