If Elida wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Defiance, they should've done a better job of containing Kate Homier. Defiance walked away with a 3-1 victory over Elida on Tuesday thanks in part to Homier, who had 24 digs and three aces. Homier is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season.

While Defiance might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Elida scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-18, 22-25, 27-25.

Defiance has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-11 record this season. As for Elida, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.
