Basketball Recap: Minneapolis Comes Up Short

Minneapolis and Hesston squared off in some playoff action on Sunday, but Minneapolis had to settle for second. They fell 51-39 to the Hesston Swathers. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Swathers are ranked fourth).

Minneapolis' loss dropped their record down to 12-9-1. As for Hesston, the win keeps them at an undefeated 22-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hesston beat Minneapolis by a score of 51-39 on Tuesday.
