Baseball Game Preview: Katy Taylor Mustangs vs. Paetow Panthers

The Katy Taylor Mustangs will face off against the Paetow Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Katy Taylor will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

On Thursday, Katy Taylor narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Jordan 7-5. That's two games straight that the Mustangs have won by exactly two runs.

Meanwhile, Paetow fell victim to Katy and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Katy Taylor's win bumped their record up to 20-6-1. As for Paetow, their loss dropped their record down to 9-17-1.

Katy Taylor was able to grind out a solid victory over Paetow in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, winning 7-3. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
