Owen J. Roberts took a 13-run loss the last time they faced off against Boyertown, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats won by a run and slipped past the Bears 3-2. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 16-3 victory the Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2023.

Amelia Atkins made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Atkins was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double.

Atkins wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Liza Flavin, who went 2-for-4 with one double.

The win made it two in a row for Owen J. Roberts and bumps their season record up to 6-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Boyertown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
