Volleyball Preview: Thornton Academy Trojans vs. Wells Warriors
The Thornton Academy Trojans will head out to square off against the Wells Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Wells is hoping to do what Noble couldn't on Thursday: put an end to Thornton Academy's winning streak, which now stands at four games. Thornton Academy blew past Noble 3-0.
Meanwhile, Wells posted their biggest victory since September 26, 2023 on Saturday. They put the hurt on Gray-New Gloucester with a sharp 3-0 win.

Wells can attribute much of their success to Alaina Rakiey, who had 11 digs and six aces, and Grace Richard, who had eight digs, three aces, and a kill. That's the most aces Rakiey has posted since back in September of 2023.
