League recap: Knappa scores huge upset over Portland Christian

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Portland Christian, who took down 62nd ranked Portland Christian, 31-21.

Knappa extended the longest winning streak in 2A Northwest this week by beating the Royals, 31-21. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Loggers.

Portland Christian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Royals feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Steven Mumford has thrown for 1300 yards and 16 touchdowns this season, while Nathan Mumford has 32 catches for 545 yards. Curtis Farmer leads the league in rushing with 650 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Gaston takes on Knappa. The Greyhounds are in second place, while Aaron Thorton's team is in fourth place.

Neah-Kah-Nie and Vernonia played the most hotly contested game in 2A Northwest this week, with Neah-Kah-Nie eventually emerging with a 19-14 victory.
