Football Recap: Leigh Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Leigh lost against Santa Teresa back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Longhorns had to suffer through a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Saints. The Longhorns were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

When it comes to explaining why Leigh lost, don't look at Blake Zanger. Despite the final result, he rushed for 172 yards and one TD. Zanger's rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his ninth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards dating back to last season.

This is the second loss in a row for Leigh and nudges their season record down to 4-3. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 4-2 Christopher (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 83.3% over those games). As for Santa Teresa, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
