Baseball Recap: Brooklyn Sets Scoring Season-High Against Trinity

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brooklyn). They blew past the Trinity Trojans 24-6 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hurricanes also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2022.

Brooklyn got a massive performance out of Gio Garst, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most stolen bases Garst has posted since back in April of 2024. Aiden Starr was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Brooklyn was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Brooklyn's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-7. As for Trinity, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Brooklyn beat the Trojans by a score of 15-0 on Wednesday.
