Baseball Recap: Southern Maryland Christian Academy Beats St. Charles for Their Third Straight Win

While Southern Maryland Christian Academy's win against St. Charles wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs skirted past St. Charles 4-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won three matches in a row.

The team relied heavily on Ethan Miller, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024. Malcolm Blaqman was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Southern Maryland Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for St. Charles, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Southern Maryland Christian Academy will square off against St. Mary's Ryken Green at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for St. Charles, they will face off against Chopticon at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Braves' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so St. Charles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
