Preview: Cascade Champions vs. Forrest Rockets

Cascade is 10-0 against Forrest since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Cascade Champions will look to defend their home court against the Forrest Rockets at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Cascade came up short against Grundy County and fell 61-50. While losing is never fun, Cascade can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 258th, while Grundy County is ranked 116th).

Meanwhile, Forrest's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Cannon County, falling 75-39. Forrest was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-17.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jimmy Bond, who scored 11 points along with two steals. Brayson Mccown was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.

Cascade's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Forrest, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Cascade against Forrest when the teams last played last Tuesday as the squad secured a 64-29 victory. With Cascade ahead 37-9 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
